so the bees had been at the new location for a week, and although they are still flying and collecting pollen, I wanted to add some fondant, a lovely sunny day and the not so secret bee garden was looking great, so much more usable space, and we have a good few months to add to it, this weekend one of the other members gave me a large root system of rhurbarb, I had heard that laying a leaf on top of the frames was a good not toxic treatment for varroa, those that know me, know Im against using chemicals as such on my bees, so I split the root system into three good sized chunks and planted it in three corners of the bee garden, although if varroa becomes a problem, I'll still fog if need be with mineral oil, as per my other video in this blog
