1st swarm call out in kent

so yesterday I had a call from a friend, three swarms on his garage and did I want them, I jumped in the car, but only had two spare collection boxes, by the time I arrived three swarms had turned into two, seems he has a big oak tree outside his back garden gate, where a wild colony lives, I like wild swarms as they seem to have less if none at all of the dreaded varroa mite, that hived bees tend to suffer from.

I quickly boxed up both swarms then popped inside for a coffee, whilst drinking that, the small swarm left the box, and swarmed into the first box, strange as both boxes had bees fanning peramones to indicate they had queens inside, so return to the bee garden with one poly nuc, I'll add some sugar syrup tomorrow to aid their pulling out foundation, and then check again in three weeks time to see if we have a mated queen.
