Checking the cluster

So this weekend was not the nicest on the weather front, cold,rain and high winds, and I only saw a couple of bees flying, even those seasoned beekeepers worry that all's ok, so I charged up the flir thermal attachment, an expensive boys toy, but it gives you peace of mind, without needing to open up the lid and let any heat out, it shows the outside of the hives as warm due to the little bit of sun hitting the hives, but also shows the warmer cluster inside each hive,the Langstroth and the bees are in the lower brood box, the National has them in the super above which is also part of the brood area,
